Elena Vasileiadi Drakotou, MD, MSc, PhD

Dr. Elena Vasileiadi Drakotou is a specialist in Diagnostic Radiology, with extensive expertise and a robust academic and professional background. She completed her medical education at Athens Medical School, where she was awarded a scholarship from the Papadakis Foundation. Following her graduation, she undertook her residency in Diagnostic Radiology at Alexandra and Aretaieion Hospitals, University of Athens.

Dr. Vasileiadi Drakotou was awarded her PhD with high honors from the First Radiological Department of the University of Athens, under the esteemed supervision of Professor Lampros Vlachos. She also holds a Master of Science degree in Oncologic Imaging and is certified in RECIST by both the European Society of Oncologic Imaging (ESOI) and the European Organization for Research and Treatment of Cancer (EORTC). At the moment, she is providing her expertise to over 50 international oncologic clinical studies as an imaging consultant.

In 2007, Dr. Vasileiadi Drakotou co-founded Ygeia Iatriki Apeikonisi, a state-of-the-art diagnostic center located in Larissa, Central Greece. As Chief Executive Officer, she oversees the center's operations, which include cutting-edge imaging modalities such as 3T MRI, CT, Digital Breast Tomosynthesis, Ultrasound, X-ray, DEXA, and Dental Imaging. Her leadership is marked by a commitment to innovation, evidenced by the incorporation of the latest imaging technologies and artificial intelligence into clinical practice, ensuring the highest quality of diagnostic services for patients throughout Central Greece.

Since 2019, Dr. Vasileiadi Drakotou has served as the Global Key Opinion Leader and Medical Advisor for Planmed, a leading company based in Finland, recognized worldwide for its contributions to mammography and dental imaging. In this capacity, she provides strategic guidance and medical expertise to support the development and implementation of advanced imaging solutions, reinforcing Planmed's position as an industry leader.
