Salman Qureshi, MBChB BSc(Hons) FRCR FESHNR
Head & Neck Imaging - Mayo Clinic / SSMC Abu Dhabi
Dr. Salman Qureshi is a Consultant Head & Neck / Neuroradiologist working at Mayo Clinic / SSMC Abu Dhabi. He completed his Medical School, Radiology Training and Neuroradiology Fellowship in Manchester and then worked as a Consultant in Manchester University Foundation Trust for 7 years.
With reference to the Royal College of Radiologists, he was Northwest Regional Specialty Advisor as well as Examiner (Diploma in Dental and Maxillofacial Radiology) and also on the National Recruitment Committee.
He has been an integral part of International Head and Neck Imaging. With reference to BSHNI, he was Secretary and set up the annual Refresher Course. He was then appointed onto the Executive Committee of ESHNR taking on multiple responsibilities including Educational Faculty, examiner, Organising Committee London 2018, Social Media Lead and International Liaison. It is this latter role which led to the development of joint webinars with ASHNR which he spearheaded. He was invited onto the RSNA Neuroradiology / Head & Neck Scientific Subcommittee as well as the ASHNR International Relations Committee. He was designated Head and Neck Team Leader for the European Board of Radiology Written Evaluation Committee.
He has lectured and moderated at numerous international meetings in North America, Europe and Asia including RSNA, ASHNR, ASNR, ECR, ESHNR, ESNR, RCR, BSHNI and WFNRS Symposium Neuroradiologicum. He is lead organiser and moderator for the ESHNR webinars as well as the joint ASHNR / ESHNR webinars. He is been designated head and neck faculty coordinator for the upcoming RCR DHA in Dubai and also course organiser for the ESHNR Masterclass.
With reference to Undergraduate Education, he was University of Manchester Medical School Associate Dean and Honorary Senior Lecturer. He was also elected as Manchester Medical Society Section of Imaging President in 2014.
However he is most proud of being Neuroradiologist to Manchester United albeit now as a suffering fan of the club!
